Gunjan Jain is a bestselling author, investment banker and lifelong student of mindfulness. She is a graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (USA) in economics and finance, and has earned her master’s in wealth management from the Cass Business School, City University (UK).
Gunjan also holds a diploma in image management from the London Image Institute as well as the Academy of Image Mastery in Singapore. She has received a diploma in international etiquette and protocol from the Institut Villa Pierrefeu in Switzerland. She also holds a Master Practitioners degree in neuro-linguistic programming from the Society of NLP (USA). She will start a graduate management programme at Harvard Business School in Fall 2018.
Her debut book, She Walks, She Leads, published by Penguin Random House India in August 2016 is an authorised anthology of twenty-four accomplished Indian women from varied fields. The book features icons such as Nita Ambani Parmeshwar Godrej, Sudha Murty, Indra Nooyi, Chanda Kochhar, Zia Mody, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Priyanka Chopra, Mira Nair, Shobhana Bhartia, Indu Jain, Anamika Khanna, Saina Nehwal and Mary Kom. Each story is based on extensive interviews with these extraordinary women and enriched with the views of their family, friends, and professional associates including Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Azim Premji, Adi Godrej, KV Kamath, N R Narayana Murthy, Ajay Piramal, Sanjiv Goenka, Shah Rukh Khan and Sachin Tendulkar.
Gunjan is currently working on an extensively researched book on eleven male business leaders who have shaped the nation's destiny through their leadership and invaluable contributions. She is concurrently working on her first work of fiction, a tale of love, loss and redemption. She is also working on a book that aims to help women pursue success without having to compromise any other part of their lives.
In May 2017, Gunjan was felicitated with the WEF 2017 Award for "Women of the Decade in Community Leadership” for her inspirational journey and work on She Walks, She Leads. She has also been honoured with the ‘Award De Excellencia’ at the Women Excellence Awards by World Peace & Diplomacy Organisation (WPDO) in 2017 and the WCRC Leaders Asia’s Pride For Women 2016, Author of the Year in 2016.
Gunjan enjoys travelling and has been to 32 countries so far and hopes to strike them all of her list someday. She divides her time between her homes in Mumbai and Kolkata and enjoys playing squash.
